Lasting Image is owned and run by Joanne Blizzard. Jo trained as a wedding photographer in 1989 and then became the manager of a local printing laboratory including the in-house studio and was responsible for the portraits as well as the weddings.

After several years Jo's career took on a whole new world when she decided to concentrate on becoming a newspaper photographer on a local weekly paper. She soon got a reputation for her unique style of pictures and before long was working for an evening paper covering major news events.

Continuing to photograph weddings for friends and family Jo soon realised her time as a newspaper photographer had been well spent. She was able to spot picture opportunities that were normally missed by more traditional wedding photographers who were used to taking 40-45 stock photos at each wedding.

It was this discovery that persuaded Jo to start Lasting Image, now the Bride and Groom can expect to receive upto 200 photographs in their preview album being a good mixture of traditional and candid photographs.

"There is nothing better than having a great set of pictures, not only of the Wedding but your guests enjoying your big day. I love photographing Weddings, every one is different and I think the pictures should reflect that." says Jo.
